GALVESTON, Texas - Visitors to Moody Gardens in Galveston will get the rare opportunity to view a chinstrap penguin chick born in January. Only a few other animal habitats in the U.S. were able to successfully breed a chinstrap penguin.
The chick is being nurtured by both its mother and father. A blood test will be conducted to determine if the newborn penguin is male or female.
