Siblings often nab food off each other and fairy penguin twins at Melbourne Zoo are no exception.
The smaller penguin is now in a humidicrib being hand-fed pilchard fillets four times a day.
Its gutsier sibling will be moved to a feeding school on Wednesday, where it will adjust to being fed by keepers instead of its parents, in preparation for joining the adults.
The twins are among nine fairy penguin chicks born at the zoo this breeding season.
