Sea Life Sydney Aquarium will open its Penguin Island Expedition this summer season.
The
immersive experience allows visitors to get up close with a colony of
King and Gentoo Penguins during a sensory and educational sub-Antarctic
journey.
Entertainment options include cocktails and canapés
overlooking the King and Gentoo penguin enclosure, as well as travelling
in a raft through the penguin colony’s environment at a cool but
comfortable six degrees Celsius.
For planners looking for a family
day out, breakfast experiences are available prior to the exhibit’s
opening time. Groups can experience a flurry of snow, whistling winds
and the stunning southern lights – all surrounded by penguins.
Alongside
Penguin Island Expedition, the aquarium also features 13,000 animals as
well as a kid friendly dive trail, educational talks, animal feeds and a
hands-on rock pool.
