Syracuse, N.Y. — Most of the baby penguins at the
Syracuse zoo are named for their South American heritage. Salvator, Estrella, Luis, Luz...
Elmer, however, is an exception. Perhaps you can guess the origin of his name.
In this series of videos, we take you behind the scenes at the zoo
where he and five other penguin chicks hatched this winter and spring.
The penguin keepers have been busy preparing the group to join the
colony later this summer.
