Newport Aquarium's Flat Penguin Contest

Where Will the Flat Penguins Go?
Download and print your favorite penguin
and send us a photo to win great prizes.

You’ve heard of Flat Stanley, that famous two-dimensional paper cut-out that travels the world with families and students. Well, Newport Aquarium today launched the Flat Penguin Project.

While the Kroger Kingdom of Penguins exhibit is closed for renovations and the penguins are temporarily off-exhibit, we wondered, “If a penguin could go anywhere, where do you think it would go? Where would you take one?”

It’s your chance to show us! It’s simple. And by playing, you and a friend could win a special behind-the-scenes Penguin Encounter.

Just download and print any one (or all three) of the special Flat Penguin pictures from the Newport Aquarium web site. There’s Flat Gentoo, Flat Chinstrap and Flat King Penguin.

Then take a photo with it wherever you are in the world. Have fun. Be creative. Take your Flat Penguins on your next trip. Or to school. Or in your backyard. Just snap a good shot and email it to the Aquarium’s Flat Penguin Project address:
Every Wednesday, from now until the penguins return in late March, we’ll randomly select one of the Flat Penguin photos that were sent in that week and that person will win two tickets to a Penguin Encounter at the Aquarium, as well as two tickets to the Aquarium.

Good luck, and have fun with your new Flat Penguin friends.
