Huntington W VA based artists provides artwork for new postal stamps
HUNTINGTON -- A new sheet of nine stamps has
been issued by the Republic of the Marshall Islands that features two
paints by Huntington-based artist Chuck Ripper.
Ripper, who is widely known for his many L.L. Bean catalog covers, painted the Emperor Penguin to help mark the 50th anniversary of the Antarctic Treaty.
Ripper also painted some sea life images for Marshall Islands stamps in 2001.
