Hotter Weather, Heavier Rains Threaten Penguins
Polar bears are the poster children of climate change. But could penguins be next? Reporting in the journal PLOS ONE,
researchers write that climate change is causing heavier rains and
hotter days in coastal South America, which can kill more penguin chicks
than predators or starvation.
