A video uploaded to the Internet by
wildlife photographer John Downer shows the riveting moments a bird
snatches an egg camera and lifts off into the air.
The footage, likely taken as part of the “Spy in the Huddle” series, was posted to Downer’s YouTube page Friday. “A striated caracara, intrigued by our
spy egg-cam, decides to fly off with our camera but in the process
captures the first ever aerial footage of a rockhopper penguin colony
shot by a flying bird,” the YouTube description said.
At the time of publication, the video boasted just over 10,000 views on YouTube, but had garnered rave reviews.
