You can’t tell the players
without a program. And with more than 250 penguins living and playing in
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, it might be a little difficult to
know exactly what you’re looking at. Here, from SeaWorld’s experts, is
how to tell who is who:
Gentoo: Large penguin with a white band on its head; Swims at speeds up to 25 m.p.h.; the third largest species of penguin; the fastest of all penguins.
King: The largest penguin at Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin; has a black head, chin and throat with orange, tear-shaped patches on each side of its head; travels in small groups of 5 to 20 when foraging, and will dive as deep as 1,000 feet.
Adelie: Medium-sized with the classic “tuxedo” appearance; believed to navigate the ocean using the sun; builds nests with stones and will steal rocks from neighbors.
Rockhopper: Brightly-colored crests and red eyes; can leap out of the ocean three times its height; gets its name because it can often be seen hopping from rock to rock on land.
