It wasn't a tuxedo affair, but Arisco
celebrated her 30th birthday at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Thursday.
While 30 isn’t old for many species, it’s geriatric for Humboldt
penguins like Arisco — she is one of the oldest Humboldts in captivity
in North America. Several dozen people showed up to sign a birthday card
and watch Arisco and the other penguins enjoy a birthday treat of
smelt.
