The
Wrocław Zoo is encouraging Poles to take part in its “Adopt an egg”
campaign. The action is meant to help recover the population of the
African penguin, which has declined by several million over the last
century.

The zoo works in collaboration with SANCCOB, a seabird rescue based in Cape Town.
Only last year, SANCCOB managed to save some 1,000 young penguins, alongside 90,000 seabirds since it was established in 1968.
The “Adopt an egg” campaign winds up on 10 April.
