Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has a new Facebook naming-contest involving penguin chicks to be launched Wednesday.
In a press release Tuesday, the zoo said it has two Southern rockhoppers and one gentoo in need of names. The genders of the chicks are unknown at this time, so both male and female names are encouraged.
The three winning names and their entrants will be announced online on Wednesday, April 15. Each of the winners will receive a zoo-themed gift basket.
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has 80 penguins on display in the Scott Aquarium: 26 rockhoppers, 32 gentoos and 22 king penguins.
Visitors must be a fan of the zoo's Facebook page in order to participate. People can find the Facebook page here: facebook.com/omahazoo.
