Penguin Encounters at the Newport Aquarium

Meet Randy, Paula, Simon and Kara, the Penguins
at the Newport Aquarium

You can visit the famous African Blackfooted penguins, Randy, Paula and Simon and the newest penguin Kara, in special "Penguin Encounters" at the Newport Aquarium. Led by an experienced biologist, a typical visit may include a chance to touch the penguins, see them waddle, swim, shake their tails and jump into and out of their Penguin pool. Plus, photos are permitted to capture the memory forever.

Cost:

* $25, all ages
* (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

Times:

* 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m, 2 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 4 p.m. Daily

Visit the Penguin Encounters page at newportaquarium.com or call the Newport Aquarium at 859-261-7444 to reserve your chance to meet the Penguins in up-close and personal encounters.

Also, you'll have a chance to see one of these four penguins free, every day during Newport Aquarium's "Penguin Parade." Get a penguin preview, daily at 10:15 a.m., in the Aquarium's lobby, or on the plaza outside the Aquarium's gift shop.

Watch the FOX19 Morning News every Wednesday from March 11 through May 20 to see what the tuxedoed talents think about the American Idol contestants, and who they think will advance in the competition.

Watch FOX19 Morning News March 18 and then visit FOX19.com and Tell Us Who The Penguins Picked - Entries will be Accepted Until March 19 at 8:30 AM -If the Penguins are correct, FOX19 will conduct a random drawing and award one lucky viewer a $50 Kroger Gift Card.

Watch FOX19 Morning News March 11 - The penguins selected Anoop to be sent home, and they were incorrect. Therefore the prize for next week grows by $25.

How to Enter the Contest:

Submit your answer as to who the Penguins selected to be voted off of American Idol as seen on the FOX19 Morning News, Wednesday mornings. A new segment will air each Wednesday.

If the Penguins correctly pick who is actually voted off American Idol that evening, a random drawing of all correct entries will take place on Thursday morning at 8:30 AM, and the winning entrant will receive a $25 Kroger Gift Card.

If the Penguins are NOT correct, no prize will be awarded for the week, however, the prize for the following week will increase by $25.

Please Note:

* You must be 18 or older to enter and win.
* Prizes are limited to one per person per 30-day period.
* Prizes must be picked up at the FOX19 Studios Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM.

Contest Participants who have already Created an Account with FOX19:
To enter the contest, simply input your e-mail address in the Contest Entry Box below and click "Submit". You will then be prompted to enter your personal password. After your password has been entered click "Login" and this will take you to the Contest Entry Page where you will verify your contact information, and check the box that you have read the rules and private policy statement. Click "Submit" and your entry will be sent to FOX19.

Contest Participants who have never Created an Account with FOX19:
To enter the contest, simply input your e-mail address in the Contest Entry Box below and click "Submit". You will then be directed to the Create an Account page in which you will enter your basic information. Please note that you are only required to enter basic information such as name, address, phone and zip code. You will also be asked to create a personal password. Be sure to write this down as it will be important for future FOX19 contests. After your information has been entered you must check the boxes that indicate you are at least 18 and that you have read the privacy policy. Once completed, click "Save" and you will be directed to the Contest Entry Page where you will verify your contact information, and check the box that you have read the rules and private policy statement. Click "Submit" and your entry will be sent to FOX19.
