To celebrate ‘World Penguin Day’ and the love of penguins, Ski Dubai has created a special route for its resident snow penguins to journey across, emulating a penguin migration.
Traditionally, on April 25, Adelie penguins in the Antarctic begin their annual northward migration, and World Penguin Day celebrates these wonderful birds while raising awareness about their conservation needs, natural habitat and unique behaviour.To highlight the significance of ‘World Penguin Day’, Ski Dubai will allow visitors to follow the march of the penguins as they journey across a specially designed trail that has maximum visibility and can be clearly viewed by guests across a range of key focal points like the snow park.

Guided by a team of Ski Dubai staff, at specific intervals, guests will be able to get close to the birds and take pictures as the snow penguins wander the slopes of Ski Dubai. Additionally, there will be opportunities to get snapped next to a giant ice wall carved with the World Penguin Day logo.

Entertainment, Omar El Banna said: “The Snow Penguins are a part of the Ski Dubai family and it is our endeavor to do everything we can to celebrate these magnificent creatures while simultaneously raising awareness about their natural habitat and the conservation efforts needed to sustain them for generations to come. We wanted to offer something fun and interactive that would showcase the loveable nature of these extraordinary birds, and there is no better way than with a fun march across Ski Dubai with their friends, supporters and well-wishers.”
