Aquarium offering penguin encounter

14/12/2012
Visitors can experience an on-the-ice encounter with New Zealand's only Antarctic penguin colony when they visit Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium.

The aquarium's latest interactive experience will see visitors suited up in Antarctic snow gear to explore the new snow-filled penguin enclosure and get up-close and personal with the magnificent king and gentoo penguins.

Santa will also be diving in the Ocean Discovery tank to feed the fish, every day at 2pm until December 24.

Visitors can gain exclusive access and see how everything works behind the scenes at the re-launched aquarium, with a chance to feed the fish, discover the animal quarantine area, dive tanks and much more in daily tours.

Kids will have the opportunity to take part in a new interactive quiz trail - a fun and educational way to learn about the amazing animals and exhibits at Kelly Tarlton's.

Go to kellytarltons sealife.co.nz or call 0800 805 050 for more information.
