ATLANTA —
The Georgia Aquarium has named four of its six African penguin chicks hatched during this breeding season.
Two boys, Sadiki and Toli, and two girls, Lila and Hidaya, were born in January. It is still too early to determine the gender of the other two chicks.
The aquarium said all of the chicks are healthy and full grown, weighing in between 5.5 and 7.5 pounds.
The chicks are learning to dive and swim, as well as being encouraged to develop positive relationships.
The aquarium said the chicks are still learning to vocalize in a lower pitch, and they will molt into their adult plumage in about a year.
