SeaWorld Orlando's penguin chicks on the grow

SeaWorld Orlando has updated the status of the penguin chicks born last month.
The hatchlings have had, as expected, a growth spurt. They have increased from 2 to 4 ounces in weight to between 18 and 36 ounces. The SeaWorld Aviculture Team weighs the birds every other day.

SeaWorld has more than 250 penguins in its colony, which lives in the Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin attraction. Theme-park guests ride through a cold experience before ending up in the birds' habitat, which is kept at a cool comfort level for the animals.
