CHILDREN and families are being invited to enjoy a month of penguin-themed fun at Twycross Zoo.
The centre is hosting an array of different events and activities as part of penguin appreciation month programme.

All who visit the attraction during January will be able to take part in a free penguin trail by picking up a guide and looking out for the eight penguins hiding around different areas of the conservation.
There will also be fun games, where kids can try out penguin egg carryin' as they try to protect an egg while they run around an obstacle course.

The zoo is also urging children to try their hand at snowball throwing, aiming at the threats that penguins face in the wild.

All of the activities are designed to be fun and also educational for those taking part.

A spokesman for Twycross Zoo said: "Banish those post Christmas blues and bring the family to Twycross Zoo where we are dedicating a whole month to celebrating and raising awareness of penguins."
