FREEPORT - Penguins aren't known for flying south to Florida in the summer but Saturday, the Biophilia Center played host to an African black footed penguin for its penguin party.
Her name is Cranberry and she is used tot he warm weather because she's from South Africa.
She's five years old and has been in the area for about 6 months.

"We're teaching a little bit about penguins today because one of the main goals here at the Biophilia Center is to preserve all ecosystems and what better way to learn about all ecosystems than bringing a penguin to one of our local areas," said Rachel Cain, an animal trainer.

Penguins like Cranberry eat about a pound of fish a day and can weigh up to nine pounds.
Because she's in captivity, she can live to about thirty years old.
