@Penguin Shores ready to shine at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (video)

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A penguin invasion is underway at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Penguin Shores presented by Cleveland Clinic Children’s opens on Friday, April 3 in the zoo’s Northern Trek area.

But on Thursday during Fox 8 News in the Morning, Kenny Crumpton got the first look at the six African black-footed penguins that will call Cleveland home through the middle of September. The seasonal traveling exhibit is the first time the zoo has had penguins since 2002.

Penguin Shores will feature more than just penguins. It will include a new live animal show with all-star critters from the zoo’s conservation education department. Cutouts of the African penguins will make great photo opportunities for kids and families.
