'Penguin Paintings' raise money for aquarium conservation efforts

Mystic Aquarium stopped by the NBC 10 News studios in Cranston on Tuesday to show off adorable painting penguins.
Blue Red and Blue Blue are South African Penguins.
Blue Blue was feeling a bit artistic and created a masterpiece.

Penguin painting is actually an enrichment program for the aquarium, as proceeds from selling the art goes toward helping aquarium conservation efforts throughout the world.
But if buying a penguin painting just isn't enough, you can also get in on the fun with an upcoming activity, "Canvas and Cookies: Happy Feet."
"It's geared toward children," said Tracy Camp of Mystic Aquarium. "You get to watch penguins make paintings right there in front of you. And while you have treats and cookies yourself, you make your own piece of artwork."

The painting event will take place Friday, February 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Learn more about the event, as well as how to purchase tickets, here.
